No advertising or analytics cookies

JLPT Master does not use advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Everything below is needed for a feature you use, and most of it never leaves your device.

On your device

Local storage keeps your study progress, saved words, reviews, settings and preferences (keys starting with jlpt_). IndexedDB and the offline cache hold the downloaded dictionary and app files so the app works offline. None of this is sent anywhere unless you sign in and use cloud sync.

Firebase Authentication keeps your sign-in session in IndexedDB after you sign in.

Google services

After you sign in, Firebase App Check runs Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise, which may set Google cookies, to protect the database from automated abuse. Signed-out visitors do not load it.

Fonts come from Google Fonts, and the Firebase libraries from Google’s servers. Google receives your IP address and browser information with those requests.

Your control

Clearing this site’s data in your browser (or the app’s storage on Android) removes all of the above, including your local progress. Signing out stops cloud sync.
